Role Overview
We are looking for a high-ownership finance professional to build and run end-to-end monthly financial reporting (MIS) and ensure tight control over Accounts Receivable in a fast-growing startup environment. This role requires a hands-on operator who is comfortable with ambiguity, fast closes, and scaling processes as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & MIS
- Own the monthly close process and preparation of management MIS for leadership review
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across entities and functions
- Perform variance analysis against budget/AOP and prior periods with clear insights
- Create, improve, and automate MIS templates and reporting processes as the organization scales
Accounts Receivable & Revenue Controls
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable cycle, including billing oversight, collections tracking, and reconciliations
- Monitor AR ageing, identify risks early, and drive actions to improve collections and cash flow
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer teams to resolve disputes and close open receivables
- Strengthen internal controls around invoicing, revenue recognition, and receivables
Taxation, Compliance & Audit Support
- Handle direct and indirect tax computations, filings, and reconciliations
- Coordinate with external consultants for statutory audits, tax filings, and assessments
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory requirements
- Support management with financial data for board, investor, and audit requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- BCom / M.Com / CA-Inter / Semi-qualified CA (or equivalent)
- 7–12 years of experience in controllership, reporting, or core finance roles
- Strong hands-on experience with MIS, month-end close, and AR management
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and taxation
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; ERP/accounting system experience preferred
